A Bit About Me
Somaej was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. As a military brat, she had the opportunity to live in many places, but after moving to Texas, she knew she would always call Texas home. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and later a Master of Arts in Human Services Counseling with a specialization in Crisis Response and Trauma, both from Liberty University.
With a lifelong passion for helping others live with purpose, Somaej felt called to deepen her impact through coaching. With divine clarity and purpose, she became an IBCC-certified professional life coach, co-founding The JITT Group (Journey Into Thoughtful Transformation) alongside her mother, Geneva. Together, they built a coaching practice committed to equipping individuals and organizations to grow with intention and resilience.
Somaej holds multiple certifications that reflect her dedication to walking with people through life’s most difficult seasons: Certified Trauma-Informed Coach, Certified IBCC Professional Life Coach, Acute Stress & Grief Specialist, Certified First Responder Support, and Disaster Response & Emotional-Spiritual Care Consultant. With these credentials, she brings a holistic, compassionate approach that integrates trauma-informed practices, crisis care, and spiritual resilience.
Her work centers on helping clients navigate grief, overcome stress, and restore balance in times of uncertainty. Somaej empowers individuals to reclaim their strength, build resilience, and step into a future marked by healing and hope. Her mission is to help people not just survive—but truly thrive, grow, and heal.
Outside of her work, Somaej treasures time with her children, family, and friends. She enjoys reading, traveling, learning new things, and relaxing with a good movie.
